2019 Remake Learning Days CHA starts this week!

Chattanooga Remake Learning Days: May 11-18, 2019

Remake Learning Days Across America (RLDAA) kicked off on Saturday with green|spaces' Green Prix race, and the week ahead is filled with nearly 200 more events! RLDAA is an educational festival of free innovative learning experiences for youth & families across nine national regions. The PEF Innovation Hub, WTCI, & the City of Chattanooga are proud to host these events celebrating education throughout Chattanooga! Remake Days CHA focuses on hands-on learning in community spaces like the Chattanooga Libraries, Youth & Family Development Centers, Hamilton County schools, & more. Leading up to this week, we have been promoting several events + organizations across our PEF Innovation social media platforms. Tuesday, May 14 (5PM-6:30PM): The Passage Summer S.W.A.G Event


PEF Teacherpreneurs, Brittany Harris & Colleen Ryan, invite you to The Passage's event at Rivermont Elementary! To encourage enrichment during the summer months, they will create S.W.A.G. (Student Working on Achieving Gains) bags for students. The students will have access to rich texts, that include lessons + materials.

 

Thursday, May 16 (9:30AM-10:30AM): STEM Jubilee Tour


Chattanooga STEM School is hosting a tour + open house experience for parents and educators. This tour is in conjunction with this year’s 5th annual STEM School Jubilee at Chattanooga State, which will be attended by over 4,000 elementary students from throughout Hamilton County + will be the largest school-based STEM activity hosted in the State of TN!




 

Thursday, May 16 (4PM-7PM): Academic Knight at Dalewood Middle


Dalewood Middle VW eLab students will teach participants to design, make + take home a t-shirt they design in the VW eLab! Registration is limited, and participants can reserve spots here.










 

Saturday, May 18 (1PM-3PM): Gig City Girls Coding Event


Join Gig City Girls at the Edney Innovation Center for a fun afternoon of coding! No experience is necessary, and registration is free. Girls are welcome to bring their mothers, grandmothers, aunts, friends, and neighbors to this event!
